Over 300 people have already registered for this year’s event, and everyone is welcome to join.
Over the years, executives say the Sole Burner has raised around $ 1.25 million for the American Cancer Society.
“There is hope that cancer will one day be a treatable disease,” Sole Burner co-chair Linda DeGarmo said. “It won’t be a death sentence. We’ve come this far with everything researched.
Chaseburg hosted a scaled-down Sole Burner event last year, but still raised $ 88,000, DeGarmo said.
