The firm is launching its first solicitor apprenticeship scheme and has committed to creating and developing a market-leading programme for up to six solicitor apprentices each year from September 2025. This role will help project manage the delivery, from helping to launch the scheme and raising awareness in the market to working closely with our external learning provider, as well as managing the recruitment and assessment design. The role will sit in the Early Careers team where they will also have an opportunity to support on other early careers project work.

• Support with the delivery of solicitor apprenticeships ensuring that the key deliverables and timelines are met to meet our commitment of hiring six Solicitor Apprentices by 2025.
• Continue to engage key stakeholders from the firm so that they are kept updated on the progress of the scheme and are supporting its success.
• Working closely with our chosen learning provider, ensuring that the firm is providing the best learning experience for solicitor apprentices.
• Develop a fair and robust assessment process that shows our commitment to unlocking future talent
• Create an outreach strategy by working with key apprenticeship providers and school networks and ensure that we are attracting a diverse cohort of candidates.
• Create all materials and marketing documents relating to the solicitor apprenticeship.
• Consult with internal and external providers on recruitment design and materials.
• Attend Solicitor Apprentice and City Century events.
• Work with learning & development colleagues to progress the learning curriculum for apprentices, including the induction design.
• Manage the recruitment of Solicitor apprentices, alongside the wider early careers team.
• Look to be innovative and creative with our approach to the market.
• Establish and utilise key reports and data analysis to demonstrate value, successes and improved outcomes to the Firm.
• Support in the firm’s busy Training Associate Programme & Summer Vacation Scheme interview season in running interviews with the interview panel.
• Attending internal and external events as a representative of the early careers team.
• Input into wider early careers projects and processes

Key Requirements

• A working knowledge of solicitor apprenticeships is strongly desirable
• Strong understanding of the route to qualifying as a solicitor and of the SQE regime
• Previous early careers recruitment and/or development experience
• Strong communication skills with an ability to interface across all levels.
• An effective networker with a passion for the candidate experience and service delivery.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience of supporting with the creation and development of recruitment assessments.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering recruitment campaigns and how to best attract talent.
