The steel head has been hot-forged in a single piece in Italy' s Aosta Valley: this makes it highly resistant to wear and gives it greater inertia for bevelling the tip of the blade into the ice.
What's more, the curved handle is ideal as a walking stick for glacier trekking or mountaineering. This makes it the perfect technical tool for safely hammeringyour way through blocks of ice. Finally, theresting lug at the end of the handle lets you take a breather while you climb.
