Enon Apple Butter Festival set to return for the 42nd year – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio


ENON – The 42nd annual Enon Apple Butter Festival is set to return after being canceled last year due to the pandemic.

The festival is scheduled to take place on October 9-10 on South Xenia Street and on the grounds of Enon Primary School this year.

There will be food vendors selling apple butter, apple dumplings, shelled and bagged peanuts, funnel cakes, pork chops, burgers and more.

Society volunteers will demonstrate apple butter production by cooking all the apple butter sold over a fire in copper kettles.

“The Historical Society makes old-fashioned apple butter in six 50-gallon, wood-fired copper kettles. The canning and sale of apple butter is done at the festival in the afternoon as it is ready, ”festival organizers said.

There will also be craft stalls, music and other entertainment at the festival.
