MIDLAND, Texas (Nexstar) – The Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center has more than 120 shows coming to the pool this year and wants to ensure the safety of all guests so they can enjoy the unique performances coming to town.
We spoke with Stephanie Rivas, General Manager of Wagner Noel, and she says that from clean H-vac air filters to sanitizing the theater’s 1,800 seats, guests can enjoy shows without worrying about their health and safety. well-being.
Rivas says the theater is following CDC guidelines and they strongly encourage masks but are optional on site depending on a show’s preferences. An additional security procedure is that tickets can be purchased with insurance. Ticket insurance allows guests to recover some of their money, in the event that you buy a ticket and contract covid causing you to miss a show.
“The goal is that we don’t have to physically open and do a manual search, so during covid one of the things was to minimize touchpoints that we didn’t want to have to poke around and touch items everyone and so it helps for a few different reasons,” Rivas explains.
Marketing director Ginny Van Doren says that with many performances coming up, safety is the theater’s top priority.
“We feel so blessed and grateful to the Permian Basin and surrounding communities for supporting us over the past 10 years and we love to say that as long as people continue to buy tickets, we will continue to bring them shows and to entertain them,” says Van Doren.
Artists like George Lopez, Jimmy Buffet and more are set to hit the stage this year to celebrate Wagner Noel’s 10th anniversary.
